This is the first electronically controlled camera (probably the first one). Hence, it represents a true revolution in the history of photography. Its electronic shutter allowed automatic control of exposure.

This is an improved version of the Yashica half 17. Its shape is very similar although the Electro half is quite superior in functions, related to the automatic control and is a bit larger in order to give space to the battery . It has a high quality and fast Yashinon lens with an aperture from f1.7.

The viewer displays the focus information and distance to the subject, which allows decisions to be made and adjustments made quickly.

The focal aperture is selected using the standard scale from f1.7 to f16, or you can use one of three icons indicating light conditions: sunny, cloudy or indoor and the camera automatically selects the appropriate speed.
